Once upon a time, there was a young kid who wanted to be a dentist, He was also scared of dentists.
I was 15 years old.
My family dentist allowed me to visit him in his surgery and sit-in to watch him work. From that moment, I was hooked. Years later, I was lucky enough to be accepted into the Faculty of Dentistry at Sydney University. I worked hard and graduated when I was 28 years old.
After graduating, I worked with a wonderful bunch of dentists in a 24 hour Dental Emergency practice in Glebe, Sydney. I was mentored by an amazing practitioner there who not only deepened my passion for dentistry but showed me how to live a full life and face the challenges head-on.
I can now boast years of experience has made me a highly proficient and skilled dentist. I am the father of five adult children and one grandson. I’ve loved farming and tinkering with cars, but my greatest satisfaction has always been fixing teeth and helping people. As I’ve grown older I have embraced the words of the late, Christopher Hitchens, “It is enough to know that you don’t know enough.’ And so, I continue to learn and delight in seeing things in a new way. With my patients, I endeavour to encourage and support them in maintaining good dental health.
